My wife and I have been coming to Winngray Family Campground for the past 17 years. At first we were only able to stay for short periods of time but for the past 12 years we have been able to have 6 month stays each year. During the cold months we winterize our camper and leave it onsite for a reduced fee.

Beautiful trees throughout.Quiet and a rushing Creek that runs the length of the property at the rear. VERY helpful and cheerful staff!

Stopped here to camp for the night. Although the spots are right on the creek, they smell of manure. If you can get over that, the price per tent site is $32... a little on the high side in my opinion. The facilities appear as if they are seldom maintained, the shower drain is clogged, and the bathroom is just generally unclean. I would suggest skipping this place if you are looking to tent camp.

While the campground sites are large and shady our real reason for returning year after year is the friendly relationship that exists between campers as well as the cordial and cooperative relationship between campers and staff. In many ways it is a unique community with campers living like an extended family in which people get along with each other.

We spent the summer here and we are so happy we chose Winngray. The management are so friendly and accommodating, many improvements made and very dog friendly, they even gave us gravel for our site. The campers here are so friendly, we play cards, ladies and men's luncheons, social gatherings for all holidays etc. So close to shopping and all events in Maggie Valley and Waynesville. We will definitely be here again next summer.

For the past several years under the leadership of a new office manager the campground has begun a major long- term facility update and renewal. The campground is conveniently located near Maggie Valley and Lake Junaluska about 3 miles off highway I-40.
