My wife and I just spent 4 nights camping in our A Liner, and this campground is a great place. It is very clean and well maintained. The hosts are really friendly and down to earth. The prices are very reasonable.
Just finishing up 2 nights at the campground while visiting my daughter at WCU. The campground is wonderful! I have a small camper so I'm set up in a shady spot with a view of the lake. Restrooms and showers are clean. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. This is a dog-friendly campground, and people seem to be keeping their dogs under control. The only downside is the road noise from the highway, but that will not stop me from returning.
We stayed here 2 weeks and loved every minute of it. Hosts were so nice and the grounds are very clean. The owners went to great lengths to make sure the sites are level. Only small drawback is it's close to the freeway so you can hear some road noise but it dies down at night so it wasn't a big deal. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely be back
The hosts worked with us on a problem we had on out packing up day, and we are grateful to them for that. Also, a Lake Junaluska employee by the name of Bruce Meyer assisted us with a mechanical problem we had on check out day. He willingly and cheerfully assisted us. He cleaned all the bathrooms and showers and did a fantastic job. We will return here sometime. Thank you and God bless you all! P.S. I edited this and I am giving it 5 stars, but it just shows a rating of 4.6. Where did my 4 tenths go? Anyway, 5 stars it is!
We were given a front row site for our pop up camper. Problem is the front row is right next to the highway, so only a piece of canvas between us and the noisy traffic just a few feet away. If we had been given one of the open sites on the other side of the office it would have been more pleasant. No fire pit at our shadeless site. Bath house was in serious need of an upgrade. Sign said they were remodeling but I saw no signs of work. Staff seemed friendly however. Price was affordable. Pool pass was a perk. Would only come back if I insisted on picking out a more quiet site- maybe.
We stay 4 night at the campground with some of our friends. When we arrived the staff was very nice and helpful we stay at site 116 near the road more on the later. The campground are nice and clean. There is a new school next door. The bathhouse are rustic like they said on the website and in the process of bring remodel. All the activities are across the street. Which having little kids is very scary so we drive back and forth each day. Get a waistband when you check-in and you will be comp. At the pool for free along with Putt-Putt. I would like for the campground or the town engineering to put some in the road to let people know you are crossing the road like flashing Red lights or warning lights. For the noise from the vehicle on the road it is what it is. If you are looking for peace and quiet you probably want to stay at the topper sites. Very all it was great time.
